New York, NY (PRWEB) January 26, 2012

Mamiverse.com, a lifestyle, news, and social media website for Latina moms and daughters today released results of a Florida Poll of Latina Mom voters. Conducted in partnership with Latino Decisions, a Washington DC based research firm, and impreMedia, these poll results provide a unique window into the minds of this influential Latina decision-maker and the key swing vote in states like Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada.

The survey was taken from a random sample of just over 300 Latina moms, who are registered Florida voters, and are between the ages of 18 and 60. The poll holds a +/- 5.49 margin-of-error. Names were selected from a list of all voters registered in the state and the poll was conducted by fully bilingual interviewers, in either English or Spanish, depending on the discretion of the respondent.

Latina moms are to the 2012 election what Soccer moms were in 08: potential king-makers, said Mamiverse Founder and CEO Rene Alegria. Latina moms hold great influence over every aspect of a Latino home. Connecting with them has never been more important.

According to 2010 US Census figures, Latina moms were responsible for 55% of overall US population growth in the last decade, with Latinos accounting for one out of every four babies born in the US.

With elections being decided by a just a few dozen votes in some cases, now more than ever, emerging voter segments like these can have a major impact in tight races, says Mamiverse contributing editor Maria Cardona. Understanding the needs and capturing the hearts and minds of Latina moms is an effective strategy to better understand, and win over, the Latino Vote at-large.

The study has proved that Latina moms play a pivotal role in upcoming Presidential elections, as influential decision makers their impact could prove to be key for candidates who wish to win over states such as Florida, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. It is important that candidates recognize the influence of this important demographic. stated Hilda Garcia, VP of Multiplatform News and Information for impreMedia.
